There are many threads floating around that new members need to go through before they are ready to role play here. In an effort to keep the confusion levels down, the staff members decided that a guide should be created for new members. Hopefully this guide will answer the question of where to get started, but if you have any further questions you can always PM either Jessi or Mizu.

The best place to start is to review the site rules. These are pretty standard across role-playing sites, but you should thoroughly read them and then sign that you have read the rules. If you are new to the world of role-playing or need some brushing up on some of the finer points of the subject, you may want to check out our How to Role-Play Guides. These guides touch on topics in grammar, the specific style of role-play posts, and many other things that we think you will find useful.

The next thing you need to do in your journey to becoming a well informed member of Illusia is to read the plot so that you know the details of the storyline of the site. You'll need to keep these details in mind when creating your character bio.

When it comes to creating a character on Illusia, you have two options: you can either play a canon character or you can create an original character.

Canon characters are a very important part of Illusia and we want people to play these characters. These characters are often royalty and have an already-established role in the plot, making it easier to jump right into role-playing. To view our list of canons, please visit this link and follow the instructions on the page on reserving your canon and creating your bio.

If you are going to play an original character then you have a little more reading to do. First you will need to visit our country threads and read up on the different countries. Then you will need to choose a country for your character. Then you need to actually fill out your bio. Make sure that your character has a purpose there own individual plot that can be aided along by other characters on the site. If you want your character to be related in one way or another to any other character on the site please make sure you clear it with the other person first.
